Brakspear partner Leander Club, the world’s most successful rowing club, totally dominated proceedings at last weekend’s Fours Head in London. Seven of their crews secured top ten finishes overall, among 455 crews competing; including the Head pennant itself for fastest crew in the competition! It was an unprecedented result, and a fitting springboard for many of the club’s Olympians, who were racing in their club colours for the last time before London 2012. Brakspear are delighted to announce the return of our ever-popular Oxford Ale Trail – back for the 4th year running.

The trail, which celebrates city pubs and encourages ale aficiandos and new drinkers alike to try out new pubs and fresh new cask beers offers its eager participants a limited edition T-shirt and an exclusive brewery tour. With 19 of the finest pubs in Oxford on the trail, there is plenty to choose from. The trail begins today and runs until 31^st December 2011.

Participants are invited to collect a stamp at each pub upon purchase of a pint of Brakspear Bitter or Oxford Gold. Once nine stamps are collected the trail’s tenth stamp will be awarded at Royal Oak or the Far From the Madding Crowd to receive a free t-shirt.

If drinkers are feeling adventurous and want to visit every pub on the trail they just need to send in their completed map to the brewery to receive a free brewery tour for two.
