We might be biased, but Oxford Gold is a showstopper. If youve tried our golden ale before, tell us the one word youd use to describe it in the comments. Were going for perfection.

Why is our beer so unique? 2 words. Double dropping. This is a brewing process used when making Brakspear Gravity and is only carried out by a handful of skilled brewers over the world. Beer is fermented for 16 hours before flowing naturally under gravity to a second vessel to begin its second fermentation. The result? Clarity in appearance and taste, producing an all-around superior pint!

Our iconic Brakspear Bee goes way back (to 1154, to be precise!) and has a very special story. Pope Adrian VI, also known as Nicholas Breakspear — a distant relative of the Brakspear family — was the only Englishman to be elected as pope. His papal seal featured a bee, which is were our bee logo comes from!
